NXP strengthens expertise in automotive systems with acquisition of OmniPHY

NXP Semiconductors said it has bought OmniPHY, a provider of automotive Ethernet subsystems, for the rapid data transfer needs of autonomous driving. No financial terms were released. NXP plans to combine the acquired technologies with its portfolio in vehicle networks so that it can deliver the next-generation of data transfer services.
