NYC starts rolling out ParkNYC parking app

Tuesday 20 December 2016 | 11:00 CET | News
The New York City Department of Transportation has introduced ParkNYC, a new programme that enables drivers to pay for street parking via an app, the Wall Street Journal reported. Users can pay in increments of USD 25. Police officers will be able to check if someone has paid the fare by scanning the vehicle's license registration and then cross-checking with a ParkNYC database. Drivers nearing their maximum parking times will get notifications and be able to extend their times through the app.
