NZ watchdog says regulatory intervention not needed for telco backhaul services

New Zealand's Commerce Commission has announced that further regulatory intervention is not necessary at this time for telco backhaul services. However, the Commission plans to continue to monitor backhaul prices and terms. The Commission found that the backhaul market is generally competitive except in some provincial areas where Chorus is the only provider and some links are more expensive.
