NZ's Commerce Commission seeks views on approach to new fibre regulation

New Zealand's Commerce Commission opened a public consultation on its proposed approach to implementing the new regulatory regime for the country's fibre broadband networks. The Commission wants to set a revenue cap and service quality standards for Chorus, and information disclosure rules for Chorus and the other fibre companies. The statutory framework for the new fibre regime was created by the Parliament when approving amendments to the Telecommunications Act on 7 November.
