O2 plans new multi-brand strategy for German market

Telefonica subsidiary O2 is working on a new multi-brand strategy for the German market, according to a report in 'Manager Magazin'. This will involve launching new brands to complement the core O2 brand in Germany. This new brands will mainly target low-spending customers as it looks to catch up with rival E-Plus. All brands will be centrally launched and managed to keep costs as low as possible. This will involve the existing Fonic and Tchibo Mobil companies being brought back within the parent company.
