O2 UK suffered another major outage of its voice and data network on the evening of 11 May, reports The Register. A company spokesperson confirmed there was a fault on the network that evening, caused by a loss of power after planned engineering works in Yate, near Bristol. This affected voice and data services across parts of the Midlands, Northern Ireland and the South West, although the spokesperson insisted that services had been restored by 03.00 hours on 12 May.
