Ofcom CEO urges BT to rethink wholesale broadband price plans

The CEO of UK regulator Ofcom, Sharon White, has intervened and asked BT to rethink plans for network subsidiary Openreach to increase wholesale broadband costs by GBP 7 per month, reports The Telegraph. BT wants to increase wholesale network access costs for providers to recoup the billions in needs to invest in upgrading old copper lines to fibre-optic technology.
