Ofcom considers review of 118 directory services

Ofcom has expressed concern about the price rises of some 118 directory services highlighted by a recent press investigation, reports The Telegraph. A spokesman stated that the watchdog is planning to review the market to ensure prices are transparent and fair to consumers. Since its launch, one directory inquiry provider has reportedly increased the minimum cost of making calls through the service from GBP 0.58 to almost GBP 9.
