Ofcom ends Sky wholesale sports channels investigation

Wednesday 17 February 2016 | 15:12 CET | News
UK regulator Ofcom has closed an investigation into Sky for alleged abuse of a dominant market position regarding the wholesale supply of Sky Sports 1 and 2. The investigation was opened in June 2013 after a complaint by BT. As BT has now obtained access to these channels on a non-reciprocal basis for its YouView platform, Ofcom now considers that the main risk to the interests of the consumers is resolved. The investigation has been closed with immediate effect.
