Ofcom grants Inmarsat licence for EAN ground base stations

UK regulator Ofcom has granted Inmarsat a wireless telegraphy licence for ground base stations which make up part of its European Aviation Network (EAN). In 2009, Inmarsat was one of two operators selected by the EC to provide mobile satellite services in the 2GHz band across Europe.
