Ofcom says Vodafone failed to handle complaints properly

Vodafone UK is facing a fine from Ofcom after the regulator decided that it has failed to comply with its obligations to deal with customer complaints properly. Following an investigation, Ofcom concluded that there are reasonable grounds for believing that Vodafone contravened GC14 of the General Conditions between 01 January 2014 and 05 November 2015. Specifically, Vodafone failed to have procedures in place for the fair and timely resolution of complaints; and failing to sent a Written Notification to customers if a complaint was unresolved after eight weeks and no relevant exceptions
