Oi aims to increase pace of fibre installations

Oi is planning to increase operational efficiency by shifting copper and mobile to fixed and wholesale infrastructure in an attempt to multiply value, reports Teletime. The operator thus plans to increase the pace of fibre installations, with 5 million homes already passed and aiming for over 2 million connected by the end of the year. The company claims it is adding more than 100,000 users with optical connectivity per month.
