Oi connects Rio2C event with IoT services

Brazilian operator Oi has rolled out an IoT network for the Rio Creative Conference (Rio2C) event, reports Mobile Time. The operator installed 22 sensors to monitor power supply, temperature and access control in real time at the event site, the City of Arts. These devices send data to the Network Operation Center to manage the site. Oi also placed 110 Wi-Fi hotspots, added 10km of cabling and provided 5 Gbps data links to the 80 rooms used at Rio2C.
