Oi denies talks of fresh capital increase

Monday 15 July 2019 | 16:27 CET | News
Brazilian operator Oi has denied local press reports it is in talks with financial institutions for a new capital increase, of up to BRL 2.5 billion. In a statement, it recalls that, according to the Judicial Recovery Plan, it can seek further resources after the capital increase earlier this year, up to two years from the date of the court ratification of its debt restructuring plan. Oi points out that such fundraising shall be carried out by means of the public issue of common shares or new debt instruments, including debts with guarantee.
