Oi ends Q3 with net loss of BRL 1.01 billion

Brazilian telecom operator Oi ended the third quarter of 2016 with a net loss of BRL 1.01 billion, little changed from a loss of BRL 1.02 billion in the same period last year. Net revenue dropped 6.3 percent in the same period, to BRL 6.39 billion. EBITDA fell 24.5 percent year-on-year to BRL 1.64 billion, and EBITDA margin was 25.7 percent, down 6.2 points. Capex grew 1.9 percent to BRL 1 billion. At the end of September, the company in judicial protection from creditors had net debt of BRL 41.18 billion, up 10. percent.
