Oi expands fibre service in South and Midwest Brazil

Oi has rolled out its fibre optic internet service, Oi Fibra, in eight cities in South and Midwest Brazil, reports Baguete. The cities include Passo Fundo, Santa Cruz do Sul, and Santa Maria (state of Rio Grande do Sul); Maringa (Parana); Cuiaba and Sinop (Mato Grosso); Campo Grande (Mato Grosso do Sul) and Rio Verde (Goias). Among the new services offered are internet, IPTV, and VoIP. The Internet service with 200 Mbps costs BRL 99.90 per month, while the TV service costs from BRT 189.90.
