Oi gets new major shareholder

Brazilian operator Oi has announced that Bridge Administradora De Recursos, through the investment fund under its management, has become the holder of 31,704,328 common shares and 17,190,300 preferred shares of the company. These shares are equivalent to 4.75 percent of Oi's voting capital and 10.90 percent of the preferred shares, totaling 5.92 percent of the share capital. Bridge said that it does not intend to alter the controlling structure of Oi, but rather it aims to influence the company's administrative structure.
