Oi hires Bank of America to sell infrastructure assets - report

Brazilian telecom group Oi has hired Bank of America Merrill Lynch to sell non-core assets such as mobile telephony towers and data-processing centers, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters. They added that the aim is to raise between BRL 1.5 billion and BRL 2 billion from the sales to help strengthen the company's balance sheet. Oi and Bank of America representatives did not immediately comment on the matter.
