Oi sells 15% stake in CDF

Brazilian telecom operator Oi sold its 15 percent stake in CDF, a microcomputer support company for BRL 23 million, reports O Estado de Sao Paulo. The operator entered the business in 2012 to offer technical services to its broadband internet customers. It invested BRL 10 million and subsequently received about BRL 12 million in dividends. Although the value of the sale is relatively small for the operator, it represents a cash injection and is part of the company's strategy to get out of non-core businesses. CDF will continue to provide services to Oi.
