Oklahoma joins FirstNet to transform communications for public safety

Oklahoma joined the FirstNet network following a decision by State Governor Mary Fallin to accept the FirstNet and AT&T plan to deliver a wireless broadband network to the state's public safety community. FirstNet will bring advanced technologies that will help Oklahoma's first responders save lives and protect communities. AT&T is in charge of providing the nationwide mobile broadband network for first responders in the US after securing the corresponding 25-year contract.
