OLX starts social media awards in Kenya

The online classified advertising website OLX has launched social media awards in Kenya to reward businesses and people with cash and other prizes for outstanding use of Facebook, Twitter and the blogosphere. Martin Muli, the awards organiser and Peter Ndiangui, the general manager of OLX, exchanged tweets announcing OLX's sponsorship. The awards will be held on 09 August. According to Ndiangui, OLX will give KES 100,000 to the Most Influential Facebook Personality. The best online advertising agencies have a chance to walk away with KES 250,000.
