Oman cracks down on fake devices

Oman's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has found more than eight shops in the Governorate of Musandam selling non-type-approved tablet devices and mobile phones (fake devices), the Times of Oman reported. This was part of the periodic inspection campaign conducted regularly by the TRA. The inspection campaigns are carried out by the TRA to ascertain dealer compliance with obligations set out in the law regarding the registration of such shops as dealers in telecommunications devices.
