Oman TRA sets up Spectrum Management Unit platform

Oman's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) says it set up a platform devoted to the Spectrum Management Unit (SMU). It aims to highlight the role of the TRA in regulating spectrum as a scarce resource. The SMU is responsible for spectrum allocation and granting the necessary licences for the use of allocated and assigned radio frequencies. It is also responsible for international coordination, frequency planning and regulation.
