Wednesday 5 August 2015 | 11:07 CET | News
Oman's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) is conducting field tests during this year's Khareef season to assess the performance of mobile networks in Salalah and other tourist attractions in the Dhofar Governorate. Muscat Daily said a number of TRA specialists and technicians will tests the mobile networks of Omantel and Ooredoo. For the first time, an Advanced Automated Quality Measurement System (AAQMS) will be used to measure quality of service (QoS). It also helps collect data on signal strength and network coverage of networks that use 2G, 3G or 4G.
