Omnitel rolls out 4.5G with speeds up to 750 Mbps

Lithuanian operator Omnitel announced that it's testing 4.5G LTE Advanced Pro technology from Huawei. Claiming a first in the Baltics and one of the first operators in the world to try the technology, Omnitel said it realised speeds of 750 Mbps in a live network. Its parent company TeliaSonera is also testing the technology in Norway. The technology uses four different frequency bands, the latest signal coding technology and four-channel transmission technology.
