One-fifth of Germans interested in mobile peer-to-peer payment services - Bitkom

One-fifth of Germans (20 percent) said they would be interested in using or already use peer-to-peer mobile payment services to transfer small amounts of money via a smartphone to friends and coworkers, according to a new survey of 1,006 Germans from the digital association Bitkom. By comparison, only 15 percent of Germans expressed an interest in these mobile payment services one year ago. One-quarter of Germans said they currently cannot see themselves using such a service at the moment, while slightly over half of respondents (51 percent) said they were "categorically" opposed to sending
