One in 10 German drivers uses phone at wheel - study

One in ten drivers uses her or his phone behind the wheel, most frequently to use apps, according to a recent study by the Technical University in Braunschweig. Researchers found out that motorists use their phones twice as much on motorways as in city traffic. Compared with a study in 2015, the amount of drivers distracted by typing on their phones has decreased to 2.3 percent from 4.3 percent.
