One in four Mexicans watch audiovisual content online

Over one in four Mexicans (25.8 percent) watch audiovisual content via the internet, the vast majority via smartphones, according to a study conducted by Planning Quant for the country's telecoms regulator IFT. The most popular online platform is YouTube, watched by some 92 percent of those users, followed by Netflix with 20 percent and ClaroVideo with 6 percent. Around 62 percent of users said they watched online content via their smartphone, followed by 52 percent via PCs, 17 percent via tablets and 8 percent via TV.
