One in four online Spaniards use ad-blocking software - IAB

Over a quarter (26%) of Spanish adults online are using ad-blocking software on their smartphones, laptops and PCs, according to the first study on ad blocking published in Spain by the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) and Ligatus in association with Elogia. In total, there are 5.6 million users of ad blockers in Spain, with 68 percent of all users saying they would block advertising if they could, but only 13 percent prepared to pay for it. Half of ad-blocking software users block all pages, mainly from entertainment, social networking, news and online game sites, with word of mouth (36%)
