Only 1 in 3 Italian SMEs have a website - survey

Thursday 19 June 2014 | 15:53 CET | News
Only 34 percent of Italian SMEs have a website and only three in ten use e-commerce as an additional sales channel, according to a survey conducted by Google to coincide with its 'Digital Excellence' tour of Italy. Google revealed its findings during the Florence stop of the nationwide roadshow held at the headquarters of the European Design Institute. The tour is part of Google's 'Made in Italy: digital excellence' project launched at the start of the year, which encompasses a web platform, a training course for SMEs and over 100 scholarships for young digital entrepreneurs throughout Italy.
