Only 11% of Spanish homes use parental controls on mobiles

The use of parental control systems restricting minors' access to violent and sexual images on mobile devices, PCs and TVs remains scarce in Spain despite widespread concern about inappropriate content. A survey conducted by sector regulator CNMC revealed that 47.5 percent of households with children said they were aware of means to block or filter audiovisual content that minors watch at home. Even so, only 11.3 percent claim to have activated some form of parental control against potentially damaging images on their children's mobile phones.
