Only 23% of viewers prefer to watch shows on TV sets - study

Laptops and desktop PCs have overtaken TVs as the preferred devices for watching TV shows, according to the results of a new study from Accenture issued to mark the start of NAB 2017 in Las Vegas. The survey of 26,000 consumers in 26 countries revealed that more than four in ten consumers (42 percent) would rather view TV shows on a laptop or desktop, up from 32 percent in last year's survey. The percentage of respondents who prefer watching TV shows on televisions plunged 55 percent year on year from 52 percent to 23 percent, said Accenture, adding that 13 percent said they prefer to watch
