Only 8% of UK frontline workers equipped with LTE - survey

Only 8 percent of Britain's public sector frontline workers are equipped with LTE connectivity, according to YouGov research for Vodafone UK. Frontline workers such as police officers, district nurses and social workers could further improve services more cost-effectively by using LTE, writes the operator. The slow uptake of LTE technology in the public sector appears to be attributable to a lack of knowledge of the benefits it can provide (42%) as well as the perception of overall costs involved, cited as one of the key obstacles to adoption (30%) by those that do not already have LTE.
