Ono sales up 2.8% in Q1, adds 283,000 new services

Spanish cable operator Ono reported a 2.8 percent year-on-year increase in net revenues to EUR 410 million in the first quarter of 2014, which the company said was its strongest quarter in terms of operating results since 2009, driven by the success of newly-launched convergent offers. However, the operator, which was acquired by Vodafone in March for EUR 7.2 billion including debt, also saw its net profit for the quarter to 31 March fall to a negative EUR 24 million, down from the negative EUR 23 million reported a year earlier. First-quarter EBITDA came in at EUR 165 million, a 7.7 percent
