Ooredoo claims 1 mln money mobile users worldwide

Ooredoo said it now has 1 million mobile money users worldwide, providing a low-cost alternative for customers who do not have bank accounts or easy access to financial services. Ooredoo Qatar has partnered with QNB and MoneyGram and has seen a strong take-up by international workers who need to send funds home. In Indonesia, Indosat has partnered with QNB Kesawan for the Dompetku service, enabling customers to use their mobile at more than 200 local organisations, including banks and retail chains
