Ooredoo fined QAR 3.5 mln for breaching access and approval rules

The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) said its Financial Sanctions Committee has imposed a QAR 3.5 million fine on Ooredoo Qatar for violating instructions. The CRA said QAR 2 million was due to failing to comply with rules on access to interconnection between licensed service providers, and more specifically, its refusal to grant access to its international Gateway Facilities at Al Khessa Cable Landing Station and Ooredoo Data Centre 5.
