Ooredoo Oman grows 9-mth revenues 8%

Ooredoo Oman ended the third quarter with 2.92 million customers, up 5.6 percent from a year earlier and almost 79,000 more than in Q2. Mobile postpaid customers rose by 5.3 percent annually to 215,729, and the fixed customer base was up 25.6 percent to 84,006 at the end of September. Prepaid mobile users reached 2.62 million, up 5.0 percent year-on-year and 71,600 more than in June. The operator reported revenues for the first nine months of 2016 up 8.1 percent to OMR 201.9 million, driven by increases in both mobile and fixed data revenue. EBITDA rose to OMR 112.9 million from OMR 104.3
