Ooredoo to invest USD 140 mln, expand 4G to 90% of Indonesia population by end-2019

Indonesian operator Indosat Ooredoo plans to invest USD 140 million to expand its 4G network coverage from the current 81 percent to 90 percent of the country's population by year-end. Indonesia has around 264 million inhabitants. The company plans to add 18,000 base transceiver stations, mostly in areas outside of Java, to support its expansion plan, the Jakarta Post reported, citing the company's COO Vikram Sinha.
