Open Fiber begins EUR 6 mln Biella FTTH build

Italian wholesale operator Open Fiber said it has signed an agreement with the town council of Biella in the northern Piedmont region to build an FTTH network over the next 18 months. The company will invest EUR 6 million to bring connections at speeds of up to 1Gbps to 18,000 homes in Biella, with 60 percent of the rollout reusing existing underground or aerial ducts and networks.
