Open Fiber launches EUR 2.5 mln Norcia FTTH rollout

The Open Fiber wholesale-only venture of Italian utility giant Enel and state lender CDP has reached a deal with the Umbria regional government to build a fibre-optic network in the town of Norcia in a total investment of around EUR 2.5 million. The company said it will be rolling out 78 km of cables to bring FTTH services at speeds of up to 1Gbps to over 5,400 premises throughout the locality.
