Open Fiber to extend Puglia FTTH network to Brindisi

The Open Fiber wholesale-only venture of Italian utility giant Enel has announced plans to extend its wholesale fibre-optic network in the southern Puglia region to the port of Brindisi. The company will invest around EUR 10 million to bring FTTH coverage to 28,000 homes, enabling internet access at speeds of up to 1 Gbps. The deployment is set to begin this month and last around 18 months.
