Open Fiber to invest EUR 5 mln in Vasto FTTH build

The Open Fiber wholesale-only venture of Italian utility Enel and state lender CDP has announced that work has begun to bring FTTH services at speeds of up to 1Gbps to the Adriatic coastal resort of Vasto in Abruzzo. The company said it intends to connect a total of 16,400 households by the end of next year after rolling out 39 kilometres of cable in a total investment of over EUR 5 million.
