Openreach extends G.fast roll-out to 26 new locations

Friday 18 August 2017 | 11:44 CET | News
BT confirmed that new areas of Glasgow will be among the first in the UK to benefit from a new G.fast ultrafast broadband network being deployed by Openreach. These new areas, including parts of the city centre (Douglas) and Bridgeton, are among 26 new locations across the UK to trial the G.fast technology, as part of a national roll-out of ultrafast to 12 million homes and businesses by 2020. These new ultrafast services have already started to go live in parts of Langside, Linn and Rutherglen in Glasgow.
