Openreach to expand fibre network in Swindon

BT's local network division Openreach has announced plans to make high-speed, fibre broadband available to all homes and businesses in the Priory Vale area of north Swindon, covering around 6,500 premises. The expansion of Openreach's fibre network across Priory Vale will be achieved using a combination of technologies, with around 1,000 homes and businesses gaining access to new FTTP technology which supports ultrafast speeds up to 330 Mbps. The remaining 5,500 premises will get access to Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) technology, delivering superfast speeds of up to 80 Mbps. The service will
