Openreach to start pilot of improved technician line service

BT's networks arm Openreach announced the start of a new pilot aimed at improving customer service during technician visits. Starting 24 July, the trial of harmonised repair service will run for 12 months across the UK and is expected to reach around half a million fixed lines. Features include next-day appointments for all fault repairs and line optimisation requests, a two-hour appointment window for all visits, a broadband health check during up to 25 percent of the visits, and addressing both broadband and voice issues during the visit including any small damage such as home wiring.
