Openreach unveils pricing for G.fast pilot phase

BT's wholesale arm Openreach unveiled provisional pricing for the its G.fast broadband services due to begin its pilot phase in January 2017. The annualised rate when the pilot launches on 9 January for both the 330/50 Mbps and 160/30 Mbps services will be GBP 119.40, which excludes VAT and other costs. The trial for G.fast, which aims to achieve fibre-like speeds over existing copper telecoms wires, will take place in 17 locations across the UK and cover 138,000 domestic and business addresses by the end of March 2017, according to the Ispreview website.ctober.
