Optus deploys Wi-Fi network at Westfield shopping centers

Australian operator Optus has signed a partnership agreement with Scentre Group, which manages, develops and has an ownership interest in Westfield branded shopping centres in Australia and New Zealand. The partnership covers a national rollout of a Wi-Fi service across 21 Westfield shopping centers. The rollout is scheduled for start this month. The service will provide Westfield shoppers with up to 1GB of data free for a 3-hour period per day, and will be accessible across the entire common mall area.
