Optus sees mobile data traffic jump 55% over New Year

Australian operator Optus reports that, throughout New Year's Eve to New Year's Day, its mobile customers used 385 terabytes of mobile data, which represents an increase of 55 percent from the same period of 2013. Optus also expects mobile data usage to increase as customers upgrade their phones and as the operator rolls out its 4G services to additional locations using 700MHz spectrum.
