Optus survey: Children own newer devices than parents

In Australian families it is often (58%) the younger generation that owns the newest versions of devices with parents getting the "hand-me ups". Furthermore, 38 percent of parents are yet to update their mobile handset to a smartphone, with 12 percent stating they "fear" their kids would be envious if they owned better devices as the main reason not to upgrade, according to an Optus survey.
