Optus to invest AUD 2.6 million in Southern Wheatbelt mobile coverage upgrade

Australian operator Optus is upgrading its mobile coverage across the Southern Wheatbelt, and has switched on two mobile towers at Darkan and Bokal. The new tower at Darkan, located centrally and the new site at Bokal covering the Boy-up Brook Arthur Road, provides upgraded 4G mobile coverage and capacity for residents and travelers to make and receive calls, texts and access mobile data. This financial year, Optus reports it plans to invest an additional AUD 2.6 million in its mobile network across the Southern Wheatbelt Region, working with local communities to improve mobile coverage in
